If you would like to pass on your love of diving by becoming an instructor we’ll be very happy to help you! There are four stages to becoming a BSAC Instructor.
Instructor Foundation Course (IFC) – if you’re a Sports Diver (or equivalent) or above, you can attend this two day course after which you’ll be an Assistant Diving Instructor and able to teach in the pool and classroom under direct supervision.
Open Water Instructor Course (OWIC) – if you are a Diver Leader (or equivalent) or above and have attended an IFC this course will show you how to teach lessons in open water
Theory Instructor Exam (TIE) – pass this and you will be able to teach classroom lessons
Practical Instructor Exam (PIE) – pass this and you will be an Open Water Instructor!
